FAQ

What data can I add?

Letters, lab results, spreadsheets, images, in fact most common file types can all be stored in your secure HDA account. We use AI services to extract data from these files, making them easy to then search and analyze.

Who sees my health data?

HDA does not sell your health data to advertisers or other third parties. HDA holds your data, and we will need to pass it to trusted third parties (e.g. ChatGPT) for our advanced features, but their use is restricted by our terms. Users can also share their data in a controlled manner (e.g. with chosen healthcare professionals) using our systems.

Will you integrate with the NHS app?

While we aim to integrate with as many health data providers as possible, including the NHS app, integration alone often results in incomplete and inconsistent data. This is due to systemic NHS inefficiencies in how they store and share data between trusts. Therefore, our focus is on empowering users to reclaim and consolidate their health data directly, regardless of its source, format, or location.

How do I get my NHS data?

The "Request Your Health Data" button enables users to reclaim their medical records from the NHS, even when these are not available digitally via existing integrations. The process works as follows:

  1. HDA generates a pre-drafted request letter to reclaim health records directly from the NHS.
  2. The user then attaches the letter, along with proof of id, to an email sent to their GP or trust.
This is based on the personal information access rights that the NHS provides. Additionally, HDA can customise the letters to fix specific gaps in the user's data, and use information from already uploaded data to auto-fill the letters.
